"All of this is a response to what I've been witnessing and hearing, this idea that Barack is sort of a potential savior that might come and absolve the country of all its sins," Cordero said. "In a lot of ways it's about caution in assigning all these inflated expectations on one individual, and expecting them to change something that many hands have shaped."

Does this offend anyone? It doesn't offend me.....I've been annoyed with Obama's unsubstantiated star status, but I do feel sorry for him and the expectations placed on him by his followers (especially since we skeptics haven't seen anything he's done give his proclamations credence).

I don't know James, It's true that the expectations will tear you down faster than they bore you but, I can't help but feel that he simply connects with the millions of Americans who feel disenfranchised by politicians. Can you blame us for wanting someone who isn't like the rest of the bunch.

It's not like Mitt has much more experience anyway. When it comes to being President, there is no good experience except for a first term. Anyone who gets the job is unqualified.

Quite frankly, I really don't think he connects with millions of Americans. That is the media telling is that he is. Granted, Idaho is a conservative state but he is not popular here. He doesn't relate to the people as much as NBC would have us believe.
