Katie Couric caught behind the scenes. She didn't want to share information that wasn't dramatic enough.
The fact that Mitt Romney won the majority of Conservative and Republican votes in New Hampshire wasn't news enough for her.....despite the fact that McCain won because of Liberal and Independant voters........"so we can say Mitt Romney EXUDED false confidence".
She asked if there was someone who predicted Obama would win by 20 pts....she was told the highest prediction was 10......"oh, okay, so double digits".
I am so annoyed with what our media feeds us.
Katie is a nice person, but it's obvious she cares more about Mrs. McCain's eyes than anything of worth or content.

Have you seen Good Night and Good Luck? Why can't the media take notes from that movie?

First off, as we all know, there are lies, darn lies, and then there are statistics. Worse than all of the above are polls. Having said that, if this poll has some truth in it things don't look so good for Romney. It appears that he is less likeable than Hillary and even (gasp!) Huckabee!

Ouch!

To quote:

62 percent of those surveyed say they will definitely not vote for the
former Massachusetts governor in the general election, compared with just 13
percent who say they will definitely support him -- the worst showing of any of
the major candidates.

Mitt might be getting a little boost in Michigan.

This could get interesting.

"We Are Out of Ballots"

This means a lot of Independants went to vote for Obama. This is GREAT!............the less independants available for McCain, the better for Romney.

I am not a fan of Obama.....not at all, but it's interesting how he is making Americans happy to be Americans again....................is my opinion of him improving? Probably, it's been a while since I've seen so many people inspired........and that's where the power of our nation comes from--THE PEOPLE. It makes me feel better about a future leader, however flawed, if he empowers the people. This is a fundamental belief in the Republican party--to stop growth of the federal government and to empower local governments........Bush hasn't done that, Romney would, and that's where Obama's message is leading despite the Democrat's love for Big Brother. I just pray all these people full of "hope" do not blindly fall for government expansion.

I would fear for the future of America at this time but I know that there is no way on earth Huckleberry could win a popular vote. Republicans are doing themselves a world of hurt by standing behind a guy who is going to get run over by anyone the democrats put up. That's right, tonight democrats are celebrating because
1. Obama took the lead (Edwards beat Hillary? Now that is poetic!)
2. Republicans chose a nutcase.

Interestingly, I've seen reports that up to 60% of delegates at the Republican caucuses considered themselves evangelical (I told you this good vs. evil crap would bite the republicans in the can). I guess EvangelicalsforMitt has a LOT of work to do.

Also, take a look at the age demographics for caucus goers. Dems pulled in large numbers and a shockingly large number of the elusive 18-30 year olds (Obama specifically).

My apologies for all you Romney fans, but at least you can't tell me I didn't warn you. Americans, while citizens of the greatest country on the planet, can be a bunch of bonafide idiots. It's sad when Chuck Norris ends up having more pull than a candidate with real political viability. I really wanted Mitt to take the republican tide, but it didn't happen. Let us all hope that this isn't a death knell for his campaign and that people in other states have a bit more sense than those in Iowa.
And if they don't, you can always vote for Ron Paul.
