Now what?

I'm sure you guys missed me to no end. I thought I would drop in and say ha ha. I mean, hi.

Two thoughts. First:

Second: My thoughts on where we go from here.

I love how the Dems are cryin' that now is the time for unity.......I felt that maybe unity the last 8 years would have been helpful, but hey, that's just me.

You say Reds are prone to use scare tactics.......that's fine....but it's also a double standard. Dems have been trying to scare us for years.

Be scared of the religious kooks ramming Jesus down our throats.

Be scared of Bush and his war-mongering.

Global Warming! (which I believe in, but I'm now convinced we've been mislead)

    Nuclear Holocaust!

Nuclear waste will make your kids retarded!

    Whatever........

I'm just glad conservatives/libertarians/Republicans love America despite who leads it......wish I could say as much about the lefties, but their movement was, in my estimation, short of patriotic.

I am an acception to the general right-winged patriot, though. I could very well end up in Europe. I have a hard time watching the things that make America unique and great dwindle. It's painful and I can barely tolerate it.

Dude, and I was even making fun of myself! Where did your sense of humor go?

Also, you just totally contradicted yourself. If conservatives are the ones who love America no matter who leads it then why are you the one who is wanting to vacate the country? Sounds like a sore loser to me.

The things that make this country great haven't changed. Only your perspective on it. Have faith James, don't let the National Republic convince you that Barack Obama is Papa Stalin. I think you should have greater faith in your country than that. We've survived a lot in this country. I'm surprised you think one man spells doom for us all. If anything, GW taught us that there's always another election. I think things are on the mend, but I understand that you are worried. We'll make it dude. I promise.

    Comrade.

    1. I am a sore loser, albeit I'm taking this better than I thought I would. Probably because I expected a Dem to win 1 year into Bush's 2nd term. I think we deserved to lose....hopefully the loss will cause the right to regroup and do a better job.

    2. You didn't read my last paragraph.

    3. I don't think Obama winning is very humorous. I guess I could make fun of his ears, but I don't have it in me.

--Broward county (70% Dem) has had lasting affects on me.....I've been surrounded by ignorant liberals for over 3 years now(I consider you well-informed....truly a rarity). There is a real, legitimate Merrymen movement in America. Hard work used to be rewarded.....the recent trend is-- if you want financial rewards, work as little as possible. After all, you deserve it.....the world owes it to you.

--I will most likely stay in the Army.....mostly because the stress level might be significantly lower than in a private practice, but also because I'll probably make more money as a military dentist.....that's just sad. I'll also be able to retire in 10 years and live in the Czech Republic (my wife is open to the idea).

--Every dentist I talk to is not happy with taxes. Say I make 250,000.....after taxes and matching empoyees' social security/medicaid, what will I be left with? Will I have to lose a couple of employees? What happens when all of a sudden I'm required to provide employer health insurance? How are most dentists going to pay off approx 300,000 dollars in student loans? The idea of paying over 100,000 dollars in taxes makes me pretty mad. What are the incentives to make more money again?

--When it comes time for me to help my kids with school.....maybe $5,000 a year (just a random number). Does that mean I have to work extra to come up with the $5,000? No. It means I have to earn an extra $10,000 because of wealth redistribution.

--The more dentistry I perform, the more schooling I endure, the more I learn what goes into being an employer and running your own practice, the more I'm convinced that dentists actually EARN their money......it's not merely because they are more FORTUNATE.

I hope I keep loving my country, but it's a nation that's harder to face each day. I'm surrounded by illegals (all favor Dems by the way). I'm surrounded by people who perpetually use and exploit our welfare system.....procreating for the sake of getting more money. I'm sick of Hollywood being more respected than religious leaders. I'm sick of crack-pot professors thinking they represent the educated world....especially when educated Dems are a minority. I'm sick of treating patients who constantly whine about the costs of dental work, yet have the nerve to drive their fancy cars and wear designer jeans to our appointments......this is the new generation of welfare recipients.
