A recent story was interesting enough for me to pull myself out of blogger cold-storage and post something.

I like to think I am at least semi-literate. I might kid myself into thinking that I am halfway intelligent. But at least I can pronounce Sarkozy without a phonetic guide. And I didn't even attend an Ivy-league school, nor am I the leader of the free world.

How embarrassing.

By the way. This is post #100.

Yeah, that's embarrassing........but I'm not going to criticize too harshly, 'cause heaven knows I have problems with phonetics as well.......and Florida hasn't helped--there are so many accents here (half of my lectures are taught by foreigners)and I still have no clue how to say things like: leukoedema, lymphadenopathy, cheilitis, and etc. (these are words dentists use frequently). I try asking a professor how to pronounce certain things and he replies "you say tomahtoe and I say tomay tow"......

That said, if it was Obama who had a problem--I would make fun of him relentlessly because I dislike him...in fact, I can't stand him. I would sooner vote for Hillary.

On a different note, I had the opportuntiy to watch "60 minutes" with Clarence Thomas. It was nice seeing/hearing more about him than Anitta Hill, and it is always great to hear a Black man's views on Self-reliance, Affirmative Action, and Special-interest programs. His life is truly remarkable (quite literally from "rags to riches") and he was bitter because of the "tarnished" 15 cent diploma he received from Yale........society discredits the authenticity of his accomplishments due to the stigma affirmative action places on minorities. As a Yale graduate, he couldn't even get a job. This was how his conversion from Democrat to Republican began......he realized the only way for our nation to be one of equality is to stop negating human beings' vast potential--hard work and self-reliance is what needs to be preached. Essentially, the American Dream should be preached. Anyways, it was such a great interview.......wish I remembered everything--I'm sure you can look it up online if you wanted.

I was also pleased to read about Jenna Bush's efforts abroad. She is turning into quite the humanitarian. Man, stories like that need to be spread more. We owe it to her...ya know. The media was relentless with her boozin' days, they should be just as ambitious with the work she is doing in South America and Jamaica.

I don't know what I'm going to do if Mitt isn't nominated....part of me will want to leave the country. I can't stand the adulterous Republican candidates. I already said I won't vote for Rudy. They can't call themselves conservatives. And the other guys who really are conservative are so self-righteous that it's a big turn-off. I don't really consider myself a conservative any more. I'm leaning towards libertarianism.......not like Ron Paul--more like Neil Boortz.

The thought of socialized medicine, catastrophic failure in Iraq, unsecure borders, and increased taxes make me pretty worried for any Dem getting elected. If we do end up with socialized medicine, we better still put a lot of effort in research and provide QUALITY care in a TIMELY fashion..........also, I'll be needing a student loan repayment program or something--even with the army, I'm going to graduate a 100,000 bucks in debt!

Mitt Romney is leading in South Carolina according to American Resource Group. That means Mitt is leading in Michigan, Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada, South Carolina, and Wyoming--as of now, those are the first 6 states to vote (doubt WY and MI will stay put though). Hopefully that momentum will help Mitt in Florida--historically, that will be the case.

Floridians are feeling kind of snubbed by the Democrats refusing to campaign here because of Florida moving up their primaries? What's your take on it?

Is it a money issue......it'll take millions and millions to win here?

I guess if Mitt isn't nominated, I hope McCain is the man.....even though I don't think he has a chance against the Clinton-machine, at least I respect him.
